NAN Hope Full Moon Ceremony
There will be a Full Moon ceremony on Monday September 12 at Fort William First Nation, led by Rita Fenton, MSW, RSW. This ceremony is a time for women to come together to honour Grandmother Moon and ourselves; to ask for renewed strength, guidance, and direction in our lives; to pray for all of our families, to give them strength, peace and love and prayers for healing for all of our communities. Day 1
10:00am to 4:00pm
You will learn basic teaching protocols and information on accessing Cultural Ceremonies. For example, Water Ceremony, acknowledgment of baskets, how to access a healer and knowledge keeper, how to offer medicine, how to develop spirit dishes, picking medicines, visiting the ceremony site.

Required items to bring for Day 1 and 2:
- Tobacco for individuals in the group
- Berries
- Soup/Bannok
- Ribbon skirts or sweat gown (women)
- Shorts (men)
- Towels
